Steve and Portia sailed out of San Francisco Bay on Dream Caper, their 42 foot cruising catamaran, in October 2003.  This was the beginning of their open ended plan to possibly sail the world.  After cruising the Sea of Cortez, the Pacific Coast of Mexico, and the Central American coasts of El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, they transited the Panama Canal in April 2006.  From November 2006 to June 2007, they sailed in the Caribbean from Bocas del Toro off the northwestern coast of Panama to the beautiful San Blas Islands off Panama’s central coast.

Dream Caper has been “on the hard” (out of the water) in Colon, Panama at the north end of the Panama Canal since June 2007.  After a new generator is installed, electrical upgrades made and the hulls painted, we will sail back to the San Blas Islands from Dec 2007 to Feb 2008. If all systems are working smoothly on Dream Caper, we will re-transit the Canal and sail to the Galapagos in March and then to the South Pacific in April 2008.

Steve and Portia invite you to follow their progress by visiting this website.  We try to post new text and photo entries every few weeks while we are cruising on the boat.
